Instructions for authors

Each paper (up to 8 pages long) must be written using LaTex or Word.

To ensure an overall homogeneity of the proceedings, your paper must be generated using the LaTeX style file (wsom05.sty, see the example wsom05.tex), or a Word template (wsom05.doc).

All papers will be peer reviewed on the basis of a full length manuscript and acceptance will be based on quality, originality and relevance. Accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings.

Selected conference papers will be included in “Advances in Self-Organizing Maps —WSOM’05”, a Special Issue of the journal Neural Networks, tentatively planned for the begining of 2006.

The registration fees include the attendance to all sessions, the welcome party (Monday 5, September 2005), the farewell party (Thursday 8 at noon, September 2005), a copy of the proceedings, and the coffee breaks. For the accompanying persons, they include the welcome party and the farewell party.

Additional options :

1. Tickets for the Official Congress Dinner on September 7, 2005 on the Eiffel Tower, € 55 / ticket
2. You will find a number of restaurants close to the conference site where you can have lunch at a reasonable price. Alternatively, you can have lunch at the cafeteria of the conference site. In the latter case, it is necessary to order and pay the tickets in advance. Tickets for the lunch (September, 6-7) at the conference site: 12 € / ticket.

Methods of payment available : Online payment, Bank transfers, Cheques (only in euros), order form (bons de commande).

In all cases, please send the proof of payment (transfer order, cheque, order form, copy of the mail that you will receive after on-line payment) together with the registration form to the following address :
