Eric Drossart is a former professional tennis player, three-time Belgium champion and Davis Cup player.
He joined IMG in 1974 in Brussels, thereby incorporating his client-based consultancy into IMG. Moving to London in 1982, whilst still running the IMG European Tennis Events Division, Eric quickly added to his responsibilities, becoming Director of Television Sales in 1985 and Managing Director for all Trans World International (now IMG Media) operations in Europe, Africa & Middle East in January 1987.
In 1998, Eric became Senior Executive Vice President and Managing Director of all IMG European, African and Middle Eastern operations, and joined the IMG Executive Committee.
He was promoted to President of IMG, Europe, Africa and Middle East in 2001, and Chairman for the region in 2003.
He is now Senior Consultant for IMG, primarily devoting his time to his Olympic responsibilities. More recently he headed an IMG Media team that successfully advised the IOC on their 2012/2014/2016 media rights in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and South America.
He assumes responsibility for the overall relationship with the Olympic Family.
Eric has been a member of the ICSS Advisory Board since its inception in 2011.
