The ICSS is an international, not-for-profit institution that aims to help event organisers to stage safer major sporting events. The ICSS mission is to enhance security and safety in the world of sport by proactively addressing real issues and providing best-in-class training, research and tailored consulting in all aspects of sport security and integrity.
The ICSS is a global hub of expertise in sport security. Based in Doha, Qatar, in a region that is an emerging centre for global sporting events including, amongst many other events, the 2006 Asian Games, the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2011™ the 2011 Pan Arab Games and the 2022 FIFA World Cup™. The Centre works with event organisers, governments, bidding nations, sporting federations and all those responsible for delivering safe and secure major sporting events, and clean competition in all sports.
The ICSS regularly organises events to drive new thinking in sport security and integrity and develop networks in these fields. The ICSS team brings together some of the world’s leading sport security and integrity experts and has access to a worldwide network of specialist practitioners, offering expertise in every aspect of sport security and integrity.
As part of the ICSS’s partnership agreement with Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, the two organisations will oversee the creation of a new central hub for gathering knowledge with international sporting federations to promote and support global sporting integrity.
