Student Visa
Students from countries outside the European Union must obtain a student visa if they wish to study in Italy. Visas are issued by Italian embassies and consulates in the student's country of origin. Fees for a long period visa are 75 euros, which will be paid at the embassy or consulate in the national currency of the country in which application is made.
All applications for student visas require at least the following documents:
- A valid passport (it should be valid for at least 3 months beyond the validity date of the visa requested. The passport must have a blank page available for the visa to be affixed;
- Visa request form, available from competent embassy or consulate;
- One passport photograph;
- Original certification of registration from Ca' Foscari (be sure the Embassy returns this letter, you will need it for to request your residence permit ?permesso di soggiorno?;
- Evidence of financial means (bank account or any other relevant proof);
- Proof of an adequate accommodation;
- Proof of health insurance coverage (see below).
